Gaining Experience as a waitress in my Dad's Friend Restaurant (LLA) -4 hrs

Dear Diary ,

During the school vacation, my father's friend who manage Warung Lele Restaurant at China Square Central offered me relief waitress job for half a day at his restaurant .I took up the job as an experience as I always been served as a customer for a change I choose to serve others instead.

Although it was a short period of time between 10 to 3 pm ,I have gained a rich experience .My duties required me in ushering customers to their table , taking orders ,and consistently looking
out to customers request.

On reflection to my work ,I understand the imporance of service industry that by providing good services customers the restaurant will gain witth good business and reputation besides good foods. I have also learnt to be patience,attentive and good team worker.

Dear Diary,

Although I may not have the talent to play any musical instrument but God gave me a pair of ear and a sound mind to appreciate music .My younger sister,Charlene is in her grade 8 piano ,whenever she plays the piano , I felt very relaxed .When there is a free piano concert in the explanade .I took time off with my parents to attend .On 10 th April at the Esplanade,I was treated to free piano and flute duet performed by Chong Ket Fong ,Shirin Foo and Konrad Foo.

Ket Fong began playing the electronic organ lessons at the age of nine and she discovered the flute during her secondary school days .Ket Fong has been teaching piano for the past ten years with high school graduates and holds annual concerts for her students to help them gain experience and explosure .She is an active member in the Philharmonic Winds .She also performs in ensembles and bands .

Shirin spent her formative musical years learning the piano .She begans muisc lesson at the age of four .She attained the award of the ''Best music'' for two years in her secondary school and she teach piano for five years.She participated in the band ,in one of a performance she took part in the 12 world music contest in Kerkade ,Netherland . She plays the flute during her secondary school days and she score gold eith distinction in first division cateogory in 2005 .

I enjoyed most was that Shirin played the piano and I love the songs because she plays contemporary music which is light and familiar tunes like Yesterday once more ...

In our stressful society ,I learn to unwind myself through music .Without music,living in this world is blasted with noise and can be irritating .Music relax and refresh the mind.
